DR. JOHN ALEX
Dear Vistors,
On behalf of the New India Bible Seminary, it is my honor to welcome you to our official website. As the principal of this institution, I extend my warmest greetings to all those seeking spiritual growth, theological education, and a deeper understanding of Christian faith. We are committed to fostering Christian discipleship and providing an environment that promotes spiritual and personal growth, academic excellence, social responsibility, and ministerial formation. As the principal of our seminary, I am committed to “teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this, I toil and struggle with all the energy that he powerfully inspires within me.” (Colossians 1:28b, 29)
NIBS has a great heritage. We stand for academic excellence and ensure that our students receive the best theological education possible. At the same time, the training at NIBS goes beyond mastering academic subjects. The seminary has a legacy of missionary outreach in India and South Asia. We provide strategic leadership for innovative practises in theological education and ministry. For almost five decades, men and women have been trained and prepared at the New India Bible Seminary for the evangelization of India and South Asia.
Our training focuses on nurturing and developing the 5 C’s in each student: Christ, Character, Calling, Community, and Competence. These are developed in each student, preparing them for future ministry through the use of the four D’s (Dynamics): Spiritual, Experiential, Relational, and Instructional. NIBS is striving to equip a new generation of Christian pastors, missionaries, and evangelists to meet the church’s multi-faceted ministry demands by combining 5C-4D with the Context Based Transformative Learning(CBTL) paradigm as a tool.
At the New India Bible Seminary, we all appreciate the importance of teaching our students life skills, particularly the potential to be lifelong learners. We have a team of dedicated teachers who are passionate about their discipline and strive to inspire our students to become lifelong learners. Everything we do is intended to help students become the person they should be. We challenge our students to rise to their fullest potential and embrace every opportunity to learn and grow.
